Where to Eat in San Francisco - Dumpling Time

Dumpling Time (11 Division Street) is one of the best Dim Sum places in San Francisco, period! Very different from the traditional Dim Sum restaurants you normally find in China Town (busy, crowded, loud, dated interior and samo samo food), Dumpling Time offers the modern versions of the traditional Dim Sum dishes. It wins its customers not just by the beautiful presentation of the dishes, but also the intense flavors, interesting menus and friendly service. There are a few dishes that you just have to try, King Dum (you will be provided a straw for this!!!),  Tom Yum Goong (Xiao Long Bao wrapped in beet skin), Gyoza (choose any flavor. They are all delcious), Beijing Noodles, Green Beans, and Three-Sum.  But really, all the dishes are super delicious, you can go hardly wrong with order just anything. If you are intrigued by how those dumpings are made, you can stand by the window by the entrance and watch the skilled staff making them right in front of you. Really mesmerizing!

Another tip: this place is very popular, so it can be a long wait, esp. on the weekends. I suggest you be there at 10:45 am, so you will be among the first when it opens at 11 am. A short 15 mins wait is well worth it!

Enjoy and let me know what you think once you visited Dumpling Time!
